Hottest Toys in 2019 at the Toy Fair!

December is a busy time for all of us. I don’t know about you, as much as I love the holiday season, I’m not sad to get on with the New Year.  New year for us means new stock: it’s generally a quiet time in retail, which means its show time!

If you really wanted, you could bounce from Hong Kong, to Paris, New York to London, Birmingham, and on to Nuremburg, visiting trade shows, and that’s just for the Toy and gift industry. I admit, I feel rather sorry for the employees who have to cross multiple time zones and live out of suitcases, just to bounce from one exhibition hall to another.

We usually visit several fairs in January, one of which is specifically aimed at the Toy industry, which is where we headed of to at the end of January.

Housed within Kensington Olympia Exhibition Hall, Toy Fair is a favorite of Benjamin’s as he is allowed free reign on the Sylvanians stand. He had a thorough check over all the new releases, hugged the giant Freya Rabbit and placed an order for the coming few months, more white mice triplets, plenty of new families, including the Elephant parents and baby, and a new grey cat family coming soon. 

We checked in with our lovely putty suppliers, and had a good squeeze of the huge blob of Mixed up Mermaid. There are some lovely new colours in the mini tins, landing with us around late February. I love the bright yellow of “Cheep Cheep” and the strands of green glitter in “Fresh Grass”. You might remember “Speckled Egg” from last spring: a lovely pearly white with gold glitter. Due to its popularity, it is being released as a limited edition 10oz tin this spring. We are told there are exciting new colours in the pipeline at Crazy Aaron HQ, watch this space.
